# Amazon kauft Amie Street, und schließt es

Amazon kauft den Online-Musikshop [Amie Street](http://amiestreet.com/) und [schließt das Angebot](http://mediamemo.allthingsd.com/20100908/amazon-buys-amie-street-shuts-down-store-focuses-on-streaming-music/):

Amazon war bereits Investor in Amie Street und versucht nun mit der Übernahme die Kunden zum eigenen MP3-Shop zu leiten. Die Gründer [scheinen](http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Techcrunch/~3/jkXFFNxrXNY/) bereits an anderen Projekten wie [Songza](http://songza.com/) intensiv zu arbeiten.

Amie Street startete 2006 und führte eine innovative Herangehensweise an das Bepreisen der Musikdownloads ein: Neue Musikstücke starteten mit einem Preis von Null. Je populärer ein Musikstück wurde, also je mehr Downloads auf einen Song kamen, desto höher stieg sein Preis bis zur vorgegebenen Obergrenze.
