Google verfolg mit Chrome OS hochgesteckte (aber nachvollziehbare und vor allem erreichbare) Ziele, die man auch bereits beim Erscheinen des Google-Browsers Chrome erahnen konnte.

Die ersten Notebooks mit Chrome OS sollen Mitte 2011 erscheinen.
