# Mediaplayer Songbird 2.0 erschienen, bekommt eigenes Musikinfoportal Songbird.me

Der Open-Source-Musikplayer [Songbird](http://getsongbird.com/) liegt jetzt [in Version 2.0 für Desktop und Android vor](http://stadt-bremerhaven.de/mediaplayer-songbird-in-version-2-0-erschienen/):

> Für die Optik wurde ein schlankerer Skin realisiert, was auch auf die Desktop-Variante zutrifft. Weiterhin hat man Facebook integriert, was laut Blog einigen Benutzern sauer aufstößt (obwohl man Facebook nicht nutzen muss). Songbird ist ein hervorragender und mächtiger Player für Musik-Freaks, allerdings sollte man sich ein wenig Einarbeitungszeit gönnen, wenn man die vielen Zusatzdienste sinnvoll nutzen will. Aus dem reinen Player von früher ist allerdings gefühlt nicht mehr soviel übrig geblieben.

Desweiteren wird der Webdienst [Songbird.me](http://www.songbird.me/) eingeführt. Mittels Facebook-Login werden Vorlieben und Freunde ermittelt. Auf dieser Basis wird Musik empfohlen, die vornehmlich über YouTube bezogen wird. Songbird.me soll außerdem ein Ort werden, an dem man [alles](http://www.pcworld.com/article/257375/songbird%5Fgets%5Fsocial%5Fcreates%5Fthe%5Fpinterest%5Fof%5Fmusic.html) über die eigenen Lieblingskünstler erfahren kann:

There you'll be presented with a grid of musicians that Songbird thinks you'll like, and clinking on an artist's tile will take you to their bio page where you can hear samples of their songs or buy their music through the 7digital music store. Because you log into the service using Facebook, you can also see what bands your friends have Liked and discover new music that way as well.
