Aktuell ist es noch wesentlich einfacher, mit einer guten Applikation auf Android bekannt zu werden als auf Apples iOS-System. Das wird sich bald ändern, denn das Android-Ökosystem [nähert sich der Marke der 100.000 Apps](http://www.androidguys.com/2010/07/10/android-market-hit-100000-apps-month/). Aktuell werden laut Google [täglich 160.000 Mobiltelefone mit Android](http://futurezone.orf.at/stories/1652804/) ausgeliefert.

Android befindet sich aktuell im 'Sweet Spot' für Entwickler: **zwischen anstehendem Mainstream-Erfolg, aber mit noch nicht ausgelastetem App-Ökosystem.**

iOS ist und bleibt weiter wichtig. Aber die aktuell verschiedenen Konkurrenzsituationen auf den beiden mobilen Systemen sollte man nicht außer Acht lassen.
