Das [Switch-Blog der Washington Post hat eine Grafik aus einer aktuellen Studie der London School of Economics](http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-switch/wp/2013/10/07/think-piracy-is-killing-the-music-industry-this-chart-suggests-otherwise/?tid=rssfeed) veröffentlicht, die bestätigt, was wir bereits wissen. Die Musikbranche ist nicht in das Loch gefallen, in das die Tonträgerindustrie fiel:

Natürlich ist die Marktaufteilung heute eine andere als vor 15 Jahren, das sollte aber nicht überraschen.

Aus der Studie:

> In 2013, for the first time, UK revenues from online music are expected to be higher than revenues from CDs and vinyl combined (55% for online and 45% for CDs and vinyl of total revenues from sales of recorded music). In 2012 some 34% of revenue globally (excluding revenue from live performances) was generated by digital channels including streaming and downloads, up from 27% three years earlier (see Figure 2). In addition, worldwide sales of recorded music increased in 2012 for the first time since 1999.
