# Rdio bietet jetzt kostenfreies Streaming ohne Werbung

Der Markteinstieg von Spotify in den USA hat die Konkurrenz angefacht. [Rdio](http://www.rdio.com/), das erst kurz vor Spotifys Ankunft in den USA eine kostenlose Basisversion einführte, hat jetzt eine wirklich kostenfreie Version seines Dienstes gestartet: Kein Geld und keine Werbung.

Rdio geht auch bei der Beschränkung dieser Basisversion interessante, wohl an interne Kosten gekoppelte, Wege. [VentureBeat](http://venturebeat.com/2011/10/06/rdio-delivers-free-streaming-music-with-no-ads/):

Im Frühjahr hatte Rdio eine [API eingeführt](http://neumusik.com/2011-03-rdio-fuhrt-apis-ein-wird-zur-plattform-fur-entwickler/) und sich selbst zur Plattform gemacht.

Rdio ist bis dato nur in den USA verfügbar.
