Startup-Gründer und -Mitarbeiter sollten zur Europa-Wahl gehen. Philipp Moehring, Ex-Seedcamp jetzt AngelList, erklärt warum die Europa-Wahl auch und gerade für Startups wichtig ist:
Whatever they ask for in their own nation, right wing parties’ programs almost unilaterally aim to “protect” local markets from the EU, make it harder for foreign entrants and companies to do business, and protect the status quo of local regimes and regulations.
This is bad for startups.
Why? Startups have an international customer base, employees, investors, and founders. More locally focused politics will make it harder to work with all of the above.
In bringing AngelList to Europe, I am grappling first hand with laws and regulations that differ tremendously across member states. The EU is doing a lot of great work to change this, but it’s a long process. A stronger EU can do more here. Since EU law tops national regulation in most cases, this is where your vote counts a lot more than on national level - and the resulting politics are often better if applied on a pan European level - look at changes in roaming regulations, for example.
Geht wählen.
